Family Care International (FCI) is incorporated as a 501(c) (3) organization. We rely on tax-deductible donations to carry out our work.

The World Bank, United Nations agencies,
The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation,
Hewlett and Packard Foundations and European governments are all long-time supporters.

We put your support to good use! 79% of our revenue goes to programmatic expenses, well above the recommended average.

FCI accepts cash contributions; grants for general support and specific activities; stocks, bonds, and other property; and bequests. In addition, many companies will match your contribution. If your employer has a matching gift program, please send us the form. We will take care of returning it for you.

FCI does not accept funds from the US government. On principle and by preference, we are independent and thus able to address all aspects of women’s reproductive health, and work where others cannot.

$20 enables an indigenous health promoter in the Bolivian Lowlands to attend a three-day training workshop on how to prevent violence against women.

$60 buys equipment for two clinics in Africa to screen pregnant women for high blood pressure.

$150 provides one delivery kit with all the basic supplies needed for a safe, hygienic childbirth.

$400 enables adolescent peer educators in the Dominican Republic to produce and broadcast a public service announcement on HIV prevention.

$1,000 buys two C-section kits.

$5,000 provides basic education for 30 girls in a village in Mali for one year.
